DL Tyler Hartigan, RB/LS Nick Barcelos, and LB Gregory Doyle were chosen to play for the South Team in the annual Orange County All-Star Game. The game annually features the top 72 graduated football players in Orange County.

DL Derek Wilkins was all named to the OC Register All-County 2nd Team. He was also named to the All-CIF Division 2 team.

The Eagles end the season with a tough loss in the first round of the Division 2 Playoffs. Junior QB Colt Fulton was 19/39 for 274 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. Senior RB Nick Barcelos rushed 21 times for 83 yards and 1 TD. Junior WR Tyler Wetmore caught 9 receptions for 135 yards and 1 TD. Sophomore WR Ian Grogan caught 3 passes for 101 yards and 1 TD. Junior LB Drew Sulick had 10 tackles (2 solo, 8 asst) and 1 Sack. Sophomore Griffin Grant had 6 tackles (4 solo, 2 asst) and 1 sack.

Brent Vieselmeyer New Head Coach
SMCHS announced today the selection of Brent Vieselmeyer as the school’s head football coach. Coach Vieselmeyer comes to SM with experience on the High School, College and Professional Levels. Most recently he coached for the Kansas University Jayhawks. Previous to that he spent 3 seasons with the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League.
