Analysis
Santa Margarita's big-play ability was the key factor in its victory last week over Bell Gardens. Running back Josh Ireland had an 80-yard touchdown run; quarterback Trevor Yankoff connected with David Shearer on a 95-yard touchdown pass and Ryan Zalta blocked a punt to set up the Eagles' other touchdown. Baldwin Park is a surprising semifinalist; Canyon Springs was the top-seeded team in Division IV. Santa Margarita will need another big game from Ireland, and its defense might get its toughest test against Baldwin Park, which is playing at its best.
