OUTLOOK:
The Eagles will play a free-lance schedule, then hope to petition their way into the playoffs this year. The team posted an 8-4 record with sophomores and juniors last year. Farris, an All-CIF linebacker, and Ireland, an All-CIF running back, return, as do all-Olympic League players Ryan Mummert (OT), Shane Mielke (C), David Shearer (WR) and Eric Brown (WR). Quarterback Yankoff, who passed for more than 1,000 yards, also returns. The biggest question is depth, with only 39 varsity players on the roster.
