Thomas has made significant contributions to the Eagles in 2001. In Week 11, Thomas collected eight tackles and forced a fumble which he also recovered to stop a Rialto drive. He now has a team-high 90 tackles on the season. The senior captain recorded a team-high 11 tackles against Servite in Week 10. Cappelletti posted eight tackles, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass at Mater Dei in Week 9. Thomas collected a career-high 19 tackles vs. Tustin and nine each against St. Paul and St. John Bosco. He also has eight tackles and returned a fumble 12 yards vs. Loyola.

2000:
Thomas recorded 53 tackles and one interception while breaking up two passes in being named All-Serra League and team Rookie of the Year. Cappelletti also added six receptions for 78 yards and one Td.

Misc:
Cappelletti posted a remarkable 3.87 pro agility time in the Spring. He is the son of former Heisman Trophy winner John Cappelletti and the third Cappelletti son to play for the Eagles.
