The Eagles are 7-1-2 as they enter Week 11 of their 13th varsity season. This marks the 12th time in 13 years that the Eagles have qualified for the CIF-SS Playoffs including seven in a row.

The Rialto Knights are 7-3 on the year, and finished third in Citrus Belt League play with a 3-2 record.

This is the first meeting between Rialto and Santa Margarita, but the third season in a row that the Eagles have played a CBL team in the first round. A full listing of the Eagles' playoff results is at left.

Santa Margarita finished 2-0-1 in Serra League play and captured their fourth league title in six years and second in a row.

Their .747 winning percentage is the best in Orange County.

Head Coaches
Jim Hartigan is 115-38-3 (.747) in his 13th season as the Eagles' Varsity Head Coach. (See full profile herein). The Knights are led by 2nd-year coach Don Markham who is 13-7 (.650) at Rialto after winning nearly 270 games during a stellar 30-year career that included stints at Bloomington, Leuzinger and Colton.
