Brian Finneran has done more in two years of Varsity football than most could imagine, and he has another year to improve on the records he has set. As a sophomore two seasons ago, he set the school record in receptions with 36 and last season he more than doubled that with 73.His 1,136 yards in receiving also shattered the school single-season record, and he is closing in on the Orange County record for most receptions in a career. The impressive thing about Finneran is that is just half of the story. He excels as a safety and was among the team leaders in tackles.Finneran should again be among the leaders in the county at receiver, and could possibly be one of the more dominant defenders as well.He has worked hard in the off season and had an exceptional Summer in passing league.Finneran , who has a 3.7 GPA was selected by the coaches as one of the team captains. His athletic awards include All-State, All-CIF, All-Orange County, All-Sea View League, All-Opponent Team Tustin and Rookie of the Year as a sophomore on the Varsity team.
