Korinke was brought up to the Varsity squad last year from the JV team to take over the kicking duties, and he performed remarkably well. He set a school record with seven extra points in the University game, and finished the season with 32 total PATs. Korinke also made 4 of 5 field goals during the course of the year. In 1993 he will have added responsibilities as a punter, receiver and safety. He is currently second on the depth chart at both receiver and safety.Korinke earned Honorable Mention All-Sea View League as a sophomore, as well as being Special Teams Player of the Year on the JV team.He currently holds a 4.71 GPA which earned him the Varsity Academic Award in 1992. He has won school honors in Religion, Algebra II, French, Honors Biology and Honors Geometry. Korinke is also an active member of the soccer and volleyball programs at Santa Margarita and has won numerous awards in those sports.
