Jake Thomas Awarded NFF Scholar-Athlete Award
The National Football Foundation’s Orange County Chapter had its 49th annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet at Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove. The event honored 98 Orange County football players who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or higher, while receiving all-league first team recognition. The honorees included O.C. high school and community college football players and Chapman University players.

4 Eagles to play in the OC All-Star Game
OL Matt Kilander, RB Jake Thomas, WR Kareem Amer, CB Blake Bianchini were chosen to play for the South Team in the annual Orange County All-Star Game. The Eagle Coaching staff were the South coaches. Congratulations to Sean Embree (Head Coach), Anthony Rouzier, Max Onyegbule, and Corey Overton. This is the 3rd time in school history that the Eagles coaching staff have led the South team.

After taking a 37-36 lead with roughly two minutes remaining, the Eagles gave their best defensive effort to hold on for the win but lost on a last second Field Goal. RB Nick Barcelos rushed 24 times for 149 yards. QB Peter Costelli was 17/26 for 294 yards and 4 TDs.

Soph. QB Peter Costelli passed for a career-high 416 yards. WR Chase Nenad burned the Tigers for 220 yards on 11 receptions (20.0 average) and scored three touchdowns. Jake Ebach added five receptions for 132 yards (26.4 average) and one touchdown. This is the first game ever for the Eagles where they had a 200 yard and 100 yard receiver in the same game. Giacomo Boccuzzi booted a career-high 44 yard field goal and was 5/5 on PAT kicks.
