White Team 42 - Gold Team 13

Ashton White rushed for 90 yards including scoring runs of 44 and 34 yards, Matt Dluglecki completed all four of his passes and Tyler Thompson added a 60-yard scoring run during a ten-play full squad (11 vs. 11) scrimmage as part of the 2000 Eagle Spring Game activities on June 8th.

In the 7-on-7 component, played under game like conditions, junior QB Marshall Tharpe completed 16 of 19 passes for 322 yards and five touchdowns in leading the White team to a convincing 42-13 win before approximately 500 spectators.

Junior WR/DB/K Curtis Cooper had a huge game for the white team catching seven passes for 111 yards including a 31-yard TD. He also kicked six extra points and intercepted a pass. Thompson chipped in with a 60-yard TD reception and a 47-yard fumble recovery for a TD.

Dlugolecki, playing for the gold team, completed 16 of 34 passes for 175 yards and two scores, while senior WR Anthony Bernal (3-37) and junior WR Johnnie Walker (2-60, TD) played well in the losing effort. Afterward, Thompson was recognized as the top Iron Eagle for the 2000 off-season.
