Griffin was brought up to the Varsity early last year and was a spot player at receiver. As the season progressed, he received more and more playing time. H has excellent hands and speed, and should be one of the top inside receivers in 1993 Last season he had a key third down reception in the Irvine game to keep the scoring drive going. Griffin could also see some action at the corner position. His athletic ability should earn him numerous spots on the special teams as well. He has won awards on the Freshman and JV teams the last two seasons and is a member of the Speed Eagle and Power Eagle clubs.
