#5 Junior, QB, Jon Daniels (6-2, 180) emerged from spring and summer drills as the heir apparent to the great Eagle tradition at quarterback. Received rave reviews at the Edison Passing League Tournament and at the Elite 11 QB Camp in the Summer of 2004. Rated as one of the top QB’s in Southern California according to the LA Times. Jon has impressed the coaches with his leadership, knowledge of the offense and arm strength and is poised to have an outstanding year.

In 2004: Jon completed a career-high 15 of 32 passes for 187 yards and his first career TD vs. Dorsey in Week 2. Was 10 of 18 passes for 127 yards in his first varsity start at St. Paul in Week 1.

2003: Jon completed 2 of 10 passes for 59 yards in mostly mop up duty. Was 1 for 2 for 51 yards against Los Alamitos. Led the sophomore team to within one game of the Serra League title.

Misc: As a long time ball boy for the Eagles as a child, he is keenly aware of the program’s tradition. Earned his first varsity letter in 2003 after seeing action in eight games. Was the sophomore team QB in 2003 and Freshman team QB in 2002.
