#27 Senior, LB, Captain, Colby Rodgers (6-0, 190) 2003 Rookie of the Year has enjoyed a great off-season earning great marks for his contributions on and off the field. Was selected as a Captain of the team by his peers.
2004: Colby collected eight tackles against Dorsey in Week 2. Did not play defense vs. St. Paul due to a minor injury.In 2003, Colby was named the team’s Rookie of the Year after recording 58 tackles including eight at Los Alamitos in the CIF Playoffs. Picked up five tackles in his first varsity start vs. St. Paul in Week 1. Recorded seven tackles against Long Beach Jordan. Collected a career-high nine tackles and forced a fumble against Fountain Valley in earning Player of the Game honors. Picked up six tackles vs. Loyola and five at Mater Dei.
Misc: A great all-around athlete, Rodgers played quarterback for the Sophomore Team in 2002.
