Brandt has played center, tackle, defensive end and on most special teams in 2002. Jesperson picked up six tackles at Servite in Week 7. Had a team-high two decleaters along with six total tackles vs. St. John Bosco. Bubba collected up a team high four decleaters and also had three tackles at Trabuco Hills. Bubba registered three tackles and a sack at Fountain Valley. Jesperson posted five tackles and a sack vs. Dorsey in Week 3. Recorded two tackles, recovered a fumble and broke up a pass against Redlands in Week 2. Bubba registered two decleaters and five tackles vs El Modena. Has 11.5 decleaters on the season.
In 2001: Jesperson enjoyed a strong junior season where he collected 40 total tackles, 3 ½ sacks and even broke up a pass in earning All-Serra League honors. Registered a season-high six tackles vs. both Tustin and Lakewood. Added a sack at Lakewood to earn Defensive Lineman of the Game honors. Collected five tackles and ½ sacks at Los Alamitos in Week 11 and four tackles and a sack vs. both Mater Dei and St. John Bosco to help solidify All-Serra League honors. Saw considerable action at guard and center in his career.
Misc: Jesperson is the top returning two-way lineman for the Eagles entering the 2002 campaign and has played all five offensive line positions in his career. Bubba set the school records for bench (340) and power clean (295) during this past spring. Also squats 470. He is a member of the 1,000, 800 and 500-Pound Clubs, and the Power and Strength Eagle Clubs. Jesperson has a 2.9 GPA. Threw the shot put for the Eagle Track and Field team in 2001. Enjoys skiing. Earned a varsity letter in both 2000 and 1999. Was named the Offensive Lineman of the Year for the 1999 Serra League Champion Freshman Team.
