NEXT WEEK’S OPPONENT: CIF D1 Quarterfinals
Trinity League Race
- The Trinity League championship will be decided Friday night when St. John Bosco hosts Mater Dei. St. John Bosco will either win the title outright with a victory or there will likely be a three-way tie among the Braves, Mater Dei and Santa Margarita Catholic. Then it will be up to the HS Ratings computer to decide playoff seedings.
- Eric Sondheimer of the Los Angeles Times makes this observation for the CIF-SS Division 1 bracket:
- St. John Bosco
- Sierra Canyon
- Centennial (Corona)
- Santa Margarita Catholic
- Mater Dei
- Mission Viejo
- The last two spots of an eight-team bracket may be granted to two other Trinity League schools: Servite and Orange Lutheran. Coincidently, those two play each other Friday.
Note: In this scenario, No. 4 SMCHS would host No. 5 Mater Dei in the opening round.
Selection Process and Logistics
- Rankings for all teams will be determined at a designated time Saturday afternoon, November 1, 2025.

- Teams are then slotted into the bracket.
- Playoff brackets will be posted Sunday, November at 10:00 a.m.
- First rounds games commence Friday, November 7.
