Jon Daniels holds three distinguished school records and finished his career among the Eagles all-time greats at the quarterback position.  Named to the All-Serra League First Team.  Holds school records for completions in a game (26 vs. Loyola), completions in a career (286) and passing attempts in a career (491).  Daniels became only the second Eagle to be named to the All-League First Team two years in a row – the other being Carson Palmer.  Is second to Carson Palmer in career 100-yard passing games (20).  Jon finished third on the school’s all-time list for passing yardage (3,622), touchdown passes (31), completion percentage in a season (60.6), 200-yard passing games (5) and 300-yard passing games (1). 

2005 Game Highlights:  Daniels completed 15 of 26 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown at Redlands East Valley in the first round of the CIF-SS Division I playoffs.  Jon completed 10 of 16 passes for 119 yards and a TD against Servite in Week 10 and set a new record for career completions at Santa Margarita during the game.  Daniels was nine of 16 for 191 yards and a Td at St. John Bosco in Week 9.  Jon completed 18 of 26 passes for 215 yards at Bishop Amat and tied his career-high with three Td passes.  His 26 completions vs. Loyola were a school record and his 306 yards and 38 attempts were a career high.  Daniels completed a then season-high 17 of 23 passes for 195 yards and two scores at Foothill in Week 5 after completing 11 of 19 passes and two TDs vs. Fountain Valley in Week 4.  Daniels completed 10 of 18 passes for 131 yards and a TD vs. Orange Lutheran in Week 3 and passed for 130 yards and a TD at Dorsey.  His 60-yard TD toss was the 3rd longest of his career.  Completed four of seven passes for 99 yards and TDs at Kealakehe.

2005 Pre-Season:  Listed as one of the Top QBs in both the Western Region and California per Calhi Sports Position Rankings and Hot 250 respectively as well as by The Los Angeles Times.  An All-Orange County, All-Serra League and an All-CIF Division I candidate. 

2004 Overview: All-Serra League First Team and one of the top passers in Orange County completing 144 of 250 passes (57.6%) for 1,763 yards and 15 TDs with only eight interceptions for a passer rating of 130.2.  Led league in passing (931 yards) and touchdowns (nine) during the five games of league play.  Threw 63 consecutive passes at one point over a six game span without an interception.  His 1,763 yards was the sixth best single season mark in Eagle history.  Listed at the end of 2004 by Calhi Sports as one of the top 2006 Division I-A recruits.  

2004 Game highlights:  Daniels completed 20 of 35 passes and two TDs through the air in the CIF playoffs vs. Colton.  In that game he also had a 27-yard TD run.  Completed 18 of 35 passes for 236 yards at Loyola in an exciting 20-15 win over the Cubs in Week 10 securing the Eagles playoff berth.  Enjoyed a strong game at Servite in Week nine completing 21 of 28 passes for 225 yards and a TD in a 25-20 win.  He was 11 of 18 with two TDs vs. St. John Bosco, and threw for a career-high four TDs vs. Bishop Amat.  Jon completed 15 of 32 passes for 187 yards and his first career TD vs. Dorsey in Week 2.  Was 10 of 18 passing for 127 yards and a TD in his first varsity start at St. Paul in Week 1.  Was named the Eagles Player of the Game four times. 

2004 Pre-Season: Jon emerged from spring and summer drills as the heir apparent to the great Eagle tradition at quarterback.  Received rave reviews at the Edison Passing League Tournament and at the Elite 11 QB Camp in the summer of 2004.  Rated as one of the top QB’s in Southern California according to the LA Times.  Jon impressed the coaches with his work effort, leadership, and knowledge of the offense and arm strength. 

In 2003:  Jon completed 2 of 10 passes for 59 yards in mostly mop up duty.  Was 1 for 2 for 51 yards against Los Alamitos in the CIF Division I Playoffs.   Led the sophomore team to within one game of the Serra League title.  

Misc:  As a long time ball boy for the Eagles as a child, he is keenly aware of the program’s tradition.  Earned his first varsity letter in 2003 after seeing action in eight games.  Was the sophomore team QB in 2003 and Freshman team QB in 2002.
