2005 Game highlights: Gordon caught two passes for 42 yards and two key first downs at St. John Bosco. Jacob caught five passes at Bishop Amat including a spectacular first down reception in the first half and an 11-yard Td with 3:07 left that sealed a 32-22 win. Gordon is second on the team with 28 receptions. Jacob caught six passes vs. Loyola in Week 6 including a diving catch in the endzone to tie the score at 18 with less than six minutes left that will go down as one of the greatest Eagle receiving highlights ever. Gordon caught a season-high seven passes for 70 yards at Foothill in Week 5. Jacob caught five passes for 55 yards against Fountain Valley and caught three passes for 33 yards at Dorsey and one pass for five yards vs. both Kealakehe and Orange Lutheran. Has converted 28 first downs/TDs in 30 receptions (93%).
2005 Pre-Season:One of the leaders of an athletic receiving corps after a solid junior campaign where he earned All-League honors. One of the top returning WR’s in Orange County. Caught three passes for 55 yards in the Eagles 2nd intersquad scrimmage.
2004 Overview: Named to the All-Serra League Team. Jacob led the team with 40 receptions including a career-high nine at Colton in the CIF playoffs. Gordon could always be counted on for a key first down reception (31 of 40 were on third or fourth down resulting in either a first down or touchdown). The 40 total receptions is the 11th best single season total and the 9 at Colton was the 9th best all-time. Listed at the end of 2004 by Calhi Sports as one of the top 2006 Division I-A recruits. 2004
Game highlights: Gordon caught four passes against Foothill, Bishop Amat St. John Bosco and Loyola. Had two spectacular TD receptions in the Bishop Amat game. Gordon caught three balls in his varsity debut at St. Paul and hauled in six passes for 63 yards against Dorsey in Week 2.
Misc: In 8th place with 50 career receptions and is 14th with 532 career yards receiving. Was a 2003, 2004 and 2005 Nike Training Camp participant. Gordon has excellent hands and strength and has run the 40 in the 4.55 range.
