Chris has passed for 933 yards on the year and is second on the team in rushing (525) with a team high 7.4 average. Chris passed for 113 yards including a season-best 56 yard scoring pass to David Doomey in the win over St. John Bosco. Chris also added 88 yards rushing. Rix enjoyed his fourth solid game in a row as he completed 13 of 26 passes for 158 yards and a score vs. Alemany. Rix also caught his first receiving touchdown pass in that game too. In Week 6, Chris connected on nine of 14 passes for 147 yards and added 61 yards rushing and a score vs. Bishop Amat. In Week 5, Chris set a school record 85% of his passes (17 for 20) for a season-high 258 yards and a touchdown while also leading the lead with 68 yards rushing at Rancho Bernardo in Week 5. In Week 4 Chris rushed seven times for 98 yards including 40- and 52-yard Td runs. He also completed six of 11 passes for 75 yards. Chris rushed ten times for 75 yards and a touchdown vs. Dana Hills after rushing four times for a team-high 87 yards including an exciting 72-yard run on a QB draw at Carlsbad in Week 2.

1998: At Bishop Amat, Chris led the Lancers to an 11-1-1 record and into the CIF-SS Division I Semi-Finals. Rix completed 96 of 175 passes (54.9%) for 1,700 yards and 13 touchdowns with only 5 interceptions for a QB rating of 155.1. Chris is also a dangerous runner who rushed 40 times for 300 yards (7.5 average) and scored seven times. He also added five 2-point conversions via rushing. Rix's efforts earned him a spot on the All-Del Rey League First Team and to Cal-Hi Sports All-State Second Team. Chris was also named to the Orange County Register's Top 15 West Coast Junior Prospects.

1997: Led Bishop Amat to an 11-2 record and a berth in the CIF-SS Division I Semi-Finals.

Misc: Rix's career record as a Division I starter is 26-3-1 (.883). Rix ran a 4.46 40 this summer, and was named the MVP of the Nike Combine at USC in May. Chris is the third pre-season All-American QB to play for Santa Margarita (Sean O'Brien, 1992, Arizona) and Carson Palmer, 1997, USC). Chris has received top ratings and/or All-American status from: The Sporting News, Street and Smith's, Bill Buchalter (Orlando Sentinal), Phil Gross's G & W Recruiting Report, Prepstar, Prep America, Rivalnet, Tom Lemming's Prep Football Report, Bobby Burton's National Recruiting Advisor, Couchscout, Gridiron Greats Magazine, and Student Sports Magazine. Chris has given a verbal commitment to play football at Florida State.
