Freshman (1997-98): Redshirt season ... earned the offensive scout team award for the week of the USC game ... switched from running back to defensive back during spring drills.

RS-Freshman (1998-99): V-letter...played in all 11 games and started the season's finale against Washington when he made a career-high eight tackles...finished with 45 stops, had one pass deflection and recovered one fumble at UCLA...also had eight tackles against Oregon and seven tackles against Arizona State...saw special team duty as well as backup action at safety...had at least one tackle in every game...earned the following game awards: Most Disciplined Special Team - Idaho, USC; Most Disciplined Defense - ASU; Big Hit - UCLA; Defensive Back - ASU; Cougar Tackler - ASU.
