Eagles 38 - Fountain Valley 14
MISSION VIEJO, CA., September 28, 2007 – The wakeup call came late for eighth-ranked Santa Margarita in its nonleague game against Fountain Valley tonight at Saddleback College. But it did come.
"I was screaming so loud I really don’t remember what I said," Eagles coach Mike Jacot said of his halftime speech.
Whatever the Eagles were able to decipher, it worked.
Santa Margarita (2-2) overcame a seven-point deficit on the way to a 38-14 victory. The Eagles held the Barons (4-1) scoreless in the second half.
