Chris Ramsey (5-10, 175) has emerged as a productive force on both sides of the ball for the Eagles in 2003. Chris has a knack for picking up first downs and has an outstanding 6.5 career yards-per-carry average (104-680). His 595 yards rushing is the 18th best single-season mark in school history. He is 14th on the school’s all-time rushing list.

In 2003: His 670 yards rushing is the 17th best single-season mark in school history. He is 14th on the school’s all-time rushing list. Ramsey has collected 29 tackles at cornerback. Chris rushed eight times for a team-high 75 yards including a career-long 67-yard touchdown run and picked up five tackles vs. Loyola in Week 9. Chris gained 80 yards and scored the tying touchdown vs. Servite in Week 8. In Week 7, at St. John Bosco Chris led the team with 44 yards rushing ands collected three tackles. Ramsey rushed 16 times for a career-high 123 yards at Bishop Amat with one TD covering 24 yards. It was his second career 100-yard game. Against Trabuco Hills Ramsey rushed for a team-high 70 yards on 11 carries and collected a career-high nine tackles on defense. In Week 4 vs. Fountain Valley Chris rushed 13 times for 43 yards and scored a touchdown. Ramsey rushed for 52 yards and scored a touchdown against Long Beach Jordan in Week 3. Chris ran for a then career-high 117 yards and scored two touchdowns at Redlands in Week 2 to earn Offensive Player of the Game honors for the second consecutive week. In Week 1 against St. Paul Ramsey rushed for 63 yards on only 10 carries to earn co-Offensive Player of the Game honors. In that game he also returned a kickoff 25 yards, and registered three tackles.

In 2002: Earned his second varsity letter as the fourth leading rusher on the Eagles gaining 63 yards on only eight carries (7.9 average) including a career-best 37 yard run at Fountain Valley. Was named the JV Team’s Most Valuable Player.

Misc: Was the 2001 Offensive Player of the Year for the Sophomore team rushing for 733 yards (6.3 average) and seven touchdowns. Was also named Offensive Back of the Year for the Freshman team in 2000. Ramsey completed United States Coast Guard Academy very selective AIM summer program in 2003. Has been timed at 4.57 in the 40 and has a 33-inch vertical jump. Chris is a member of the Speed, Power, Strength, 500-lb., and 900-lb. Clubs. Ramsey is an Alter server and lector at church and enjoys fishing, camping and skeet shooting.
