Wide Receiver Date of Birth: October 19, 1979 PRO CAREER: Allocated to the NFLEL by the Houston Texans after originally being signed by the club as a rookie free agent on April 25, 2002. Waived by the Texans at the conclusion of their training camp on August 31, 2002. Re-signed on January 29, 2003. COLLEGE: Played in four games at Colorado as a senior in 2001 with 11 catches for 67 yards and 2 touchdowns before a lateral ligament tear in his knee sidelined him for the remainder of the season. Played in 11 games and earned honorable mention All-Big 12 honors as a junior. Tied for team lead with 48 receptions and was second in receiving yards with 592 and 2 touchdowns. Played in 11 games with 20 catches for 312 yards as a sophomore in 1999. Played in all 12 games on the special teams unit as a freshman and in seven contests on defense. Moved from wide receiver to free safety to assist the injured secondary unit and made 18 tackles with 3 passes defensed. PERSONAL: Attended Santa Margarita High School in Laguna Niguel, California. Earned PrepStar All-America honors and was a USA Today All-America honorable mention selection, as well as being a first-team all-state selection. Helped team win California Interscholastic Federation district titles in 1996 and 1997. Majored in Communications at Colorado. |
