Connor O'Brien - Washington

Connor O'BrienAs a senior Connor O'Brien was credited with 85 tackles and four interceptions. He helped the Eagles to a 9-3 record and the quarterfinals of the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 tournament in 2012. Connor earned All-County from the Orange County Register and first-team All-CIF Southern Section Pac-5 . He was also first-team All-Trinity League and named to the CalHiSports.com all-state third team (all levels). He was ranked the No. 29 safety in the country and the No. 47 recruit in California by rivals.com. Also rated the No. 34 outside linebacker recruit in the nation by scout.com. As a Junior in 2011 he was named to the All-CIF Southern Section Pac-5 Division first-team and first-team all-county where he notched eight interceptions. Santa Margarita went 13-2, won the CIF Southern Section Pac-5 championship and beat Bellarmine 42-37 in the Division I Bowl in 2011. In 2010 the Eagles went 9-3 and made the second round of the playoffs.

Connor received a scholarship to the University of Washington. In four seasons with the Huskies (2014-17), notched 67 total tackles, five sacks and one interception (returned 46 yards for a touchdown). In 2016, was chosen by the coaches as winner of the “Husky Excellence Award” at the team’s postseason banquet.
