Cameron Burke - Oberlin
Cameron Burke '23 was a two-year varsity athlete in football and a three-year varsity athlete in track and field. Burke was a vital member of the gridiron Eagles, providing leadership on and off the field as a quarterback for a team that qualified for the rugged CIF-SS Division I playoffs, a division many experts consider to be the nation’s most competitive at the high school level. On the track, Burke excelled as a hurdler for the Eagles. During his junior season, Burke qualified for the CIF divisional finals and has carried that success over to his senior season as he is currently ranked in the Orange County top five and the top 25 in all of California in his specialty event, the 300 intermediate hurdles. Burke is equally active outside competition, as he enjoys volunteering with numerous community service organizations such as CASA, St. Kilian’s Catholic Church and Second Harvest. In the classroom, Burke is a four-year scholar athlete with a 4.5 GPA.
