Trent had two receptions and two tackles at Mater Dei. Trent enjoyed a solid defensive game at St. John Bosco as he picked off his second pass of the season, broke up another and posted a season-high 93% grade. Zinn caught two passes for 43 yards and registered an 86% grade at CB vs. Bishop Amat. Trent recorded four tackles at Rancho Bernardo and picked up three tackles and broke up a pass vs. San Clemente. Zinn caught a career-high six passes and collected a season-high five tackles at Carlsbad in Week 2. Zinn enjoyed a strong game defensively vs. Lincoln as the senior registered an 89% grade and two tackles and also ran an interception back 32 yards to receive Defensive Player of the Game honors.

1998: Zinn enjoyed a fine junior season as he started in all 14 games on both offense and defense and was named to the All-Sea View League Team. On Offense, Trent caught nine passes for 176 yards (17.6 average) and two touchdowns including a 43-yard score against Woodbridge in Week 10, and a 17-yarder vs. Corona del Mar (Offensive Player of the Game) in Week 7. Defensively, Trent collected 32 total tackles including a career high six at Newport Harbor in Week 8. Trent was named Defensive Player of the Game vs. Irvine in the Irvine CIF Semi-Final Game for his 89% grade. Zinn registered his first career interception at Dana Hills in Week 3.

Misc: Zinn ran a 4.55 40 and a 4.31 pro-agility at the Reebok Combine and has a 32.9" vertical jump. Trent is one of four Zinn brothers to play football at Santa Margarita (Ryan '93, Brett '97, Trent '00 and Trevor '02).
