1997
Jason was once again named to the All-Sea View League Team,
and is a candidate for All-South County and All-CIF honors.
At Newport Harbor, Rowell collected five tackles. At Servite,
Rowell had a season high six tackles, one sack and registered
a 91% grade to be named Defensive Lineman of the Week for the
fourth time this season. Against Katella, Jason collected five
tackles and 0.5 sacks. Against El Toro, Rowell recorded four
tackles and a sack. At Woodbridge, Jason recorded five tackles
and graded out at 95% to earn Defensive Lineman of the Game
honors. Rowell also had six tackles at Fountain Valley. Rowell
had four tackles, a forced fumble and a 93% grade vs. Servite.
Jason received a 91% for his work vs. Trabuco Hills in Week
one. Jason is 5th on the team with 45 tackles. He has also recorded
a forced fumble, fumble recovery and 2.5 sacks on the season.
Last year, Jason was selected to the All-Sea View league
team in his first year as a starter as finished the season with
38 tackles and six sacks. He collected three tackles (including
one for a loss) and a sack vs. Newport Harbor in the CIF Championship
Game. Rowell was second on the team with three forced fumbles.
Rowell is a member of every speed and strength club. Jason also
reached the prestigious rank of War Eagle. Rowell has a 4.7
40-time, a pro agility time of 4.20, and has a team record-tying
bench of 330 and a squat of 435.
1996
Senior DL Jason Rowell (5-11,200) was selected to the
All-Sea View League Team in his first year as a starter. He
is strong, quick, and particular tough to block. Jason finished
the season with 38 tackles, six sacks, and three tackles ( including
a tackle for a loss) and a sack vs. Newport Harbor in the CIF
Championship Game. Rowell was second on the team with three
forced fumbles. Jason was named Defensive Lineman of the Game
for his efforts at Trabuco Hills and Irvine.
Misc
Rowell has been marked in the 40 at 4.7, bench press 330, and
a squat of 400.
