1993 EAGLES

#7 Derek Yankoff

QB/DB
6’2”, 190
Senior
San Juan Capistrano

Probably the best athlete on the team, Yankoff will spearhead the Eagle offense in 1993. As a junior Yankoff saw limited time as a backup quarterback, but was rotated in at B-back most of the season. He finished the year with 126 yards and one touchdown. Yankoff was also a starter most of the season at corner. His defensive reps will be limited due to his quarterback duties. Yankoff is now a member of every Eagle club for speed and strength, and was the only team member to earn the coveted War Eagle award. He carries a 3.5 GPA and set a school record in the power clean with a lift of 285 pounds. Yankoff has the skills to have a record-breaking season in 1993 and has been selected by the coaching staff as one of the team captains.
