Whelan has shown great promise since the Spring, and he will contend for the starting spots on both linebacker and running back. He is an exceptional athlete and is a member of the Speed Eagle and Power Eagle clubs. He holds a 3.79 GPA and would like to be an aeronautical engineer. He hopes to increase in his weight and strength during the year. Parents Dan and Chris, sister Heather and brother Ryan.
