OUTLOOK:
The Eagles play their final season as a free-lance team, and will join the Sea View League next year, Josh Ireland again will be a candidate for the county rushing title, Santa Margarita's first graduating class last spring included 23 varsity players, including 17 starters. That makes Coach Jim Hartigan concerned about the number of mistakes the Eagles could make in the early portion of the season.

Note: Santa Margarita plays, a freelance schedule that includes one Angelus opponent, Servite, on Oct. 11
