Jon Daniels - Minnesota State

Jon DanielsAs a Junior, Jon was All-Serra League First Team and one of the top passers in Orange County completing 144 of 250 passes (57.6%) for 1,763 yards and 15 TDs with only eight interceptions for a passer rating of 130.2. Led league in passing (931 yards) and touchdowns (nine) during the five games of league play. Threw 63 consecutive passes at one point over a six game span without an interception.

As a senior Jon completed 140/232 passes for 1800 yards and 16 TDs. He was selected first-team All-Serra League. He ended his Eagle career completing 286/491 passes for 3622 yards, 31 TDs and 18 INT with a QB Rating of 133.7.

Jon started his college career at the College of DuPage. He played in 11 games completing 175/300 passes for 1894 yards and 18 TDs. He also rushed 116 times for 359 yards and 5 TDs. He was selected as first-team All-Conference. Jon continued his career at Nebraska-Omaha and appeared in six games in 2010 completing 28/54 passes for 321 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed 25 times for 68 yards and two touchdowns, both coming at Central Missouri on Oct. 23. He then completed his college career at Minnesota State after Nebraska-Omaha dropped their football program.

As a senior at Minnesota State in 2011, Jon he completed 171 passes for 2,205 passing yards and 20 touchdowns. He also posted 77 rushing yards and four touchdowns as well as he helped guide the Mavericks to a 9-3 record and Mineral Water Bowl appearance. For his efforts, he received All-NSIC First Team honors.
